12:30 p.m. – "Ways of Seeing. Collection of Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź" – opening for children

We invite the youngest (and a little older!) and their families to a special CHILDREN'S OPENING. The program includes a very serious speech from the director, a more light-hearted curatorial tour prepared especially for children, as well as fun, surprises, games, and tricks in the new exhibition space. Finally, a delicious surprise awaits, because what's an opening without treats?

Come and celebrate the opening of three floors of the new exhibition with us!

12:30 PM – WELCOME: Official welcome of guests, short speeches by the curator and director. Together we open a new chapter in the history of our Museum!
12:45 PM – WE GUIDE and ACT: Curatorial tour, art and movement games in the exhibition space. We create our own badges and build our own viewing devices.
1:45 PM – WE EAT: A sweet surprise
2:00 PM – WE HAVE FUN: Afterparty with the Elephants on the Balcony Foundation – creating a collaborative work

2:00 p.m. – Curatorial tour of the exhibition "Ways of Seeing. Collection of Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź" with translation into Polish Sign Language

Let's meet for a guided tour of the new permanent exhibition, which focuses on the phenomenon of seeing – both as a biological function and as a cultural and political act. Divided into several thematic chapters, it presents art as a tool of inquiry, posing questions about how and why we look. Among the issues explored are: the relationship between vision and memory, the social contexts of looking, perception as a form of knowledge and a tool of resistance, as well as questions of identity, corporeality, and the sensorial experience of reality.

The curators will be accompanied by a Polish Sign Language interpreter.
