FOR ORGANIZED GROUPS

The Education Department of Muzeum Sztuki w Łodzi invites group leaders working with groups of all ages to get in touch and explore one question together: what does your group need?

  • Some time offline?
  • A chance to play with different ways of expressing yourself?
  • Teamwork?
  • Rest and relaxation surrounded by art?
  • Activities that foster connection and a sense of community?
  • Movement practices inspired by artworks in the Museum’s collection?
  • Or perhaps a conversation about modern and contemporary art in English?

Let’s design educational activities together, tailored to your group’s needs:

KOBRO CITY – Sculpture and Architecture Workshop

Workshop for children aged 4+ and adolescents

How can we build a metropolis of our dreams? Inspired by the works of sculptor Katarzyna Kobro, who revolutionized the way we think about space, we will design models of buildings that are missing from the urban fabric. Together, we will create a model of Kobro City, a city shaped by our dreams, longings and aspirations.

SELL IT! – Advertising Workshop

Workshop for adolescents aged 11+

How do you advertise something you can’t buy, like rest, silence or time spent with loved ones? During the workshop, we’ll take a closer look at advertisements, reels and social media posts. We’ll explore what makes us want to believe them, then use various materials to create our own ads for these “products”. Participants should bring their phones, as we’ll also be experimenting with digital media

ABS - ABSTRACTION! – Exploring Non-Representational Art

Workshop for adolescents aged 14+

Wassily Kandinsky believed that painting is built from three basic elements: point, line and plane. In this workshop, we will put his idea to the test through a series of practical exercises, each focusing on one of these elements and guiding us through the world of non-representational art. Is it really impossible to make sense of an abstract artwork? How can we talk about it? And, most importantly, do you need a degree from an Academy of Fine Arts to become an abstract artist?
