Project completion

At the end of June 2013, works under the Modernization of the "Księży Młyn" Residence project (Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź) were completed. The effects of the modernization can be seen since September 2013, when exhibition activities started again in the building. The interior of the Palace and the Gallery of Old Art are available to visitors in the Carriage House, adapted for exhibition activities.

End of the first stage of works at the Herbst Palace

On April 20, 2012, the Old Art Gallery was opened in the revitalized Carriage House building, adapted for exhibition functions. As a result of a thorough renovation and modernization of this historic building, modern exhibition rooms were created that meet contemporary standards in the presentation of works of art. And in these newly created spaces, unique collections of ancient art from the collection of the Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź are presented.

 

Work related to the modernization of the Carriage House has been completed

The first of the tasks carried out as part of the Modernization of the "Księży Młyn" Residence project (Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź) has been completed. The Carriage House room was adapted to perform exhibition functions. A permanent exhibition of old art will be opened there soon.

 

Modernization of the Carriage House

Intensive modernization works are underway in the Carriage House on the premises of the Herbst Palace, where a permanent exhibition of old art will be opened in spring 2012. The Carriage House rooms will be adapted for exhibition functions - exhibition rooms will be located on the ground floor; some of the attics will be adapted for office purposes.

 

Evening of illumination - commencement of revitalization works in the Palace

On July 3, 2011, the historic interior of the Palace could be visited for the last time before the revitalization began. A spectacular light and sound show was also prepared especially for this day, which will certainly remain in the memory of the numerous visitors gathered that evening for a long time.
