Virtual Long Night of Museums at ms
Long Night of Museums has always been a unique time when areas of ms open at unusual hours and visitors flow in a steady stream to experience avant-garde art . In 2020, everything had been different than planned so Long Night of Museums was special as well - we decided to celebrate it online. We hope that all of you will "come" in crowds as always.

On May 16, we had the opportunity to visit Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź in two different ways.
First of all, we invited you to a guided tour around the Atlas of Modernity exhibition which was streamed live not only on ms Facebook profile but also on Łódź Facebook profile at 9 pm. Agnieszka Sej-Wojciechowska from the Department of Education talked about the artworks from Atlas of Modernity, choosing them to both present our collection in an attractive way and show that these works can help to diagnose current pandemic situation.
Secondly, we invited you to a virtual walk around Neoplastic Room. This was the official premiere of this project. We cut the ribbon on our Facebook at 8 pm. We waited a long time for the museums to open but we had not lounged around. The effect of our cooperation with the Plastic company was the website neoplasticroom.pl. It allowed you to take a virtual tour around Neoplastic Room which is the historical part of the permanent exhibition Neoplastic Room. Open Composition. The room was created by Władysław Strzemiński in 1948 at the invitation of Marian Minich, then director of Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź, in order to present the works of avant-garde artists. Currently, its virtual space was filled with the artworks of such creators as Sophie Taeuber-Arp, Katarzyna Kobro, Henryk Stażewski, Vilmos Huszár and Georges Vantongerloo.
We all took two walks in one night!
