Lecture devoted to „Salon de Fleurus”, a permanent exhibition in New York open to the public from 1992 until 2014, which was intended to collect and preserve memories of early modern art. The exposition focused around the Parisian collection of Leo and Gertrude Stein – the first collection ever to exhibit side by side artworks by Cezanne, Matisse, Picasso and other works that would later become the core of the canon of modern art. Continuation of this undertaking can now be seen at ms¹.
