The theme of the “Surviving Oppression” lecture series focuses on analyzing the mechanisms of systemic oppression in the face of the ongoing Israeli occupation. Baha Hilo will talk about various forms of repression, including political, military and social, and their impact on the daily lives of Palestinians. The lecture will introduce the audience to the historical and contemporary context of the so-called ‘Israeli-Palestinian conflict,’ as well as present testimonies from those who have experienced violence and discrimination. The lecture also aims to highlight the strength of spirit and the methods of resistance and survival used by Palestinians.
We invite you to the lecture and Q&A. The discussion after Baha's lecture will be moderated by journalist Ewa Jasiewicz.
