Ways of Moving in MS

How do you return to collective joy while staying close to yourself? How can you distill your real needs from the growing chorus of “should,” “must,” and “have to”? Similar to Ways of Seeing, Ways of Moving is about exploring movement, both how many bodies move together and how each body moves individually. Ways of Moving offers a welcoming space for participants to enter the world of the Muzeum and engage with both themselves and our institution through movement. No prior dance or choreography experience is required. All you need is the willingness to share your own way of moving in which you are the true expert.
Do you want to sing, freeze, or hide in the Muzeum? Come join us!

Registration is not required.

Moss overgrows my body – movement activities in the Museum garden

At the Gifts of Friendship exhibition, we will look for points where nature and human activity intersect. Then, in the museum garden, using simple movement and mindfulness practices, we will explore movement at our own pace - sometimes subtle and internal, at other times freer and more expressive. We will seek to identify within our bodies what creates a sense of lightness and flow, as well as what provides support and stability. These practices will offer an opportunity to create a personal bodily landscape - a map of sensations and feelings that helps us see ourselves as a whole, inextricably connected to nature. Even in the very heart of the city…
