Ways of Moving in MS

How do you return to collective joy while staying close to yourself? How can you distill your real needs from the growing chorus of “should,” “must,” and “have to”? Similar to Ways of Seeing, Ways of Moving is about exploring movement, both how many bodies move together and how each body moves individually. Ways of Moving offers a welcoming space for participants to enter the world of the Muzeum and engage with both themselves and our institution through movement. No prior dance or choreography experience is required. All you need is the willingness to share your own way of moving in which you are the true expert.
Do you want to sing, freeze, or hide in the Muzeum? Come join us!

Registration is not required.

HOUSE PARTY IN THE MUSEUM – a moving space of relaxation

A movement workshop combined with a relaxation practice and a guided tour of the permanent exhibition.

We warmly invite you to a moving house party in the Muzeum! Bring comfortable clothes and soft socks, as we will take slow, lazy steps through the exhibition “Ways of Seeing. Collection of the Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź.”

In an unhurried, relaxed manner, we will encounter artworks that explore the tangled relationships between movement and relaxation. After the exhibition, we will return to a “let-go zone,” where the floor, soft pillows, and mattresses will become our allies.

There, we will lift our bodies, play, roll around, and laugh. Our house party will conclude with a screening of dance films from the museum’s archives—followed by dancing that leaves a painterly trace.

Note: We might get messy, bring a change of clothes.
