The "Readings" series
In April and May, we invited you to readings of book passages from our extensive publishing offer. Popular and well-known artists, such as Wojtek Bąkowski, Dominika Olszowy, Michał Libera, Alex Freiheit and Marcin Polak, read texts by Katarzyna Kobro, Władysław Strzemiński, Debora Vogel and others. The series was presented on Facebook profile of Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź.

We listened to the bold proclamation of a modernist sculptor who believed that “art should not be a luxury of life”, interpreted in a modern way. Following Strzemiński, we imagined "The soaring movements of the wobbling lanterns casted rectangles of the unwritten novella’s pages, with walls of the room opening equal sections of shared time.”
We immersed ourselves in Debora Vogel’s words, who advocated the natural change of roles, when the decorated interior had started taking control of its inhabitants, rearranging their heads. As the philosopher and critic wrote: "...it begins to shape a person. It can trigger instinct for a specific way of feeling things and thinking."
We also presented contemporary studies devoted to inspiring projects such as - ongoing incessantly for four decades - “Niezależna Galeria Wschodnia” (The Independent Eastern Gallery) and Polish Radio Experimental Studio. We looked at the latter from the perspective of Józef Patkowski, its creator, and his first encounters with the Theatre of the Imagination. It was where his adventure with radio began.
