Reflections on Nowosielski - a concert by Maciej Tubis
Krzysztof Komeda's music and Jerzy Nowosielski's paintings? It's a remarkable combination, and moreover - not coincidental. After all, the repetition of motifs present in the music of the jazz pianist is so close to the synthetic character of Nowosielski's paintings from the 1950s. It was then that Komeda's jazz compositions were favored by young artists from the generation of the Krakow painter. Jerzy Nowosielski's paintings and Krzysztof Komeda's music developed simultaneously, and they certainly ran into each other more than once.
