Online Education as a Creative Medium. Facebook live panel with audience participation

After a year of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are all familiar with the so-called "new reality". In today's world, education, including the cultural one, is conveyed in a mediated form. For over a year now, we have been speaking into microphones instead of someone's ears. For over a year now, we have been looking at a screen rather than in someone's eyes. We are trying to fit knowledge, emotions, and bodily sensations into the limited capacity of the Internet bandwidth. How can we make use of this situation?

How can we change this situation of Internet broadcasting into a real tool for creative education? What can be done using a webcam, a keyboard and a mouse?

Online education understood as a creative medium will be prototyped - online - by educators:

  • Weronika Idzikowska, educator and animator at the Małopolska Institute of Culture in Kraków,
  • Tomasz Sosnowski, head of the Museum Education Centre at the Gdynia City Museum,
  • Agata Sztorc, curator of education at Galeria Labirynt in Lublin,
  • Maciek Zabierowski, program coordinator at the Auschwitz Jewish Center in Oświęcim.

The panel will be moderated by Leszek Karczewski and Agnieszka Wojciechowska-Sej, educators of Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź.

The discussion will be translated into Polish Sign Language.

The panel is organized as part of the International Museum Day 2021.
