The book „I Open the Temple of Memory. The Czartoryski Collection and the Emergence of the Idea of Museum in Poland" accompanies the exhibition of the same title at the Herbst Palace Museum. The exceptional Czartoryski collection and the history of the oldest Polish museum are presented in the essays by: Jan Jakub Dreścik, Janusz Wałek, Dorota Dec, Tomasz Kusion, and Dorota Gorzelany.
The readers will also find interesting references to the history of the collection and to individual exhibits in reprints from, inter alia, excerpts from the catalogue of the Gothic House. This illustrated publication makes a perfect introduction to the exhibition.
