“The exhibition was an attempt to re-visit the artistic practice of the group in the first decade of its activity. Łódź Kaliska was established in 1979 by Marek Janiak, Jerzy Koba, Andrzej Kwietniewski, Adam Rzepecki, Andrzej Świetlik, and Andrzej Wielogórski. Since the very beginning honesty with themselves also, or perhaps even primarily, in physiological reflections, irrational tomfoolery and ill motivation were juxtaposed with buffoonery and hypocrisy they observed around, especially in artistic circles.
