For over four decades Lynn Hershman Leeson, an outstanding media artist, has collected hundreds of hours of interviews with female and male artists, historians, curators, and art critics, who have shaped the ideas and values of feminist art. „Women Art Revolution” reveals the link between the Feminist Art Movement with anti-war and civil movements of the 1960s and explains how historic events influenced the first feminist actions directed against the major cultural institutions.

Lynn Hershman Leeson (1941) – an American artist, director and producer. Laureate of a prestigious d.velop digital art award (d.daa) of the Digital Art Museum in Berlin for  Lifetime Achievement in the field of New Media. The list of her numerous honours and awards includes also Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Prize for Writing and Directing for the film Teknolust and Creative Capital Grant for the documentary !Women Art Revolution
